March 2023 Stick it Down Card Sketch Challenge

Excited for March sketch reveal and my take on it. Took several days to pull together as I knew I wanted "rainbow" but other then that I wasn't sure. I LOVE how it turned out!

Here's the Sketch AND....

Here is my take!

First I started with a stencil from Pink Fresh Studio's called Geo Arch and using the following colors created a wonderful base directly on the card- Distress Oxides in Fired Brick, Spiced Marmalade, Fossilized Amber, Peeled Paint, Uncharted Mariner, Seedless Perserves.

I then cut out a panel from Pink Fresh Stitched Scallop Rectangle, backed it with 29lb vellum (as I wanted to still see the design behind) and popped it up on foam tape to create a shaker element.

I used dies from Concord & 9th Oh Hey You stamp and dies set; Hero Arts YAY! Birthday Bundle; Woodware Bog Bubble Craft Die and WR Memory Keepers 1" and 5/8" circle punch for the other elements.

With so much color going on in the backgroun I decided to leave some elements as Black and White which I loved in the end.

Stamped a big "HOORAY"  on the inside with some washi tape and also used the same washi to decorate the envelope a tad.

COCOA vanilla has a beautiful line called Legendary. Using that with its embellishments, some 2" Alpha Dies to create the word TODAY, a little sticking and BOOM! A glorious layout to celebrate this human.

February 2023 Stick It Down Card Sketch Challenge

Love is in the air!

I loved creating from this months sketch! I dug out all my dies that would help and I made 2 cards!

This one had a few extra steps but so worth the effort. First I cut out the hearts using a stitched heart in two sizes for the top piece. For the bottom piece I white heat embossed a back ground word stamp, making sure to mask off the small heart spaces and then using 3 shades of distress oxide ink (spun sugar, worn lipstick and picked raspberry, I blended the colors down the page. Using a slightly damp cloth I wiped off the ink from the embossed writing. I then attached the top piece to the bottom and popped up the smaller heart using pop dots. The 2 leaves were cut from two different types of silver foil and the love die using black card stock. Added a stamped "you" to the small heart. Add a few dots cut out from the left over glimmer card stock.

Bonus Card

Using a Gina K heart background die I cut out of white card stock and attached to a slightly larger Black card stock. Using a Spellbinder heart die the different sections were rain bowed colored and popped up. Using another die I cut out the phrase "to the moon and back" from back and adhered it to a postage stamped rectangle die. Stamped the word "you" in the bottom section of the heart.

Hope you are inspired and please link up your creation to the Stick it Down blog

January 2023 Stick it Down Card Sketch Challenge

With so many new goodies from Santa I ended up using a combination of new and old to create my take on this month's sketch.

To create this mini slimline easel card I used saved backgrounds from some jelly printing sessions, Letter, boarder dies and stamps from my stash, Pink Fresh Celebrate washi tape balloons that I lined on white card stock and cut out with the matching dies. Add some messy stitching with black thread and we have a very unique and cute Birthday card. It all started with the sketch to get the creative juices flowing! Can't wait to see what you create. Please link in your creation to this months challenge board over on Stick It Down.
