November Stick it Down Card Challenge

 Hi everyone!

Here is this months take on the Stock it Down card challenge. Please join along and post your creative take.

Full steam ahead for me and Christmas cards for 2022. Using this adorable stamp and die set from Pink & Main plus some scraps of paper.

November Stick it Down Single Page Challenge: Hey Crafty Girl

This month I used the paper line Hey Crafty Girl from Simple Stories and a photo of me in my beloved craft area. I used the sketch to inspire me to create 5 clusters using the papers and embellishments, along with a few punches for the win. It was a fun layout and really did a great job describing me.

October Stick it Down Single Page Challenge: Momma Love

Last year mom visited us and I was crafting away so I thought she could use a break from her knitting to paint some wooden tags for me. I think she rather enjoyed herself <3

Paper line and embellishments used were Simple Stories Vintage Weathered Garden Collection. A star stencil from my stash and some distress oxides inks. Of course a little stitching found its way in.

Halloween card/envelope sets

I am really enjoying getting use out of every scrap of paper these days and creating matching envelopes to go with the cards. I get such fantastic comments from he post masters at the local office when mailing that I can't help think the receiver and postal delivery person will also get enjoyment out of them. It's like receiving 2 cards- an outer and an inner.

These cards can be found either locally at Granny's Antiques and Gifts in Antigonish or on line at Mavenfair. Since there is often only one of each kind, there will be different ones at each location.

Both cards and envelopes are very dimensional, many have gold embossing on them and they are all decorated on both the back and the inside.

Here is a sample of the dimensions:

Products uses: older paper line by Paper Phenomenon called All Hallowseve, Tim Holtz black card stock, stamps, paper dolls, die cuts, gold embossing powder.

Stick it Down October Card Challenge

 Hi everyone,

I've taken a venture off of the Single Page Team and am now on the Card Team. You will still see a few single page samples up for October and November but then I'll be strictly over on the card side.

I am honored to be this months feature designer for the sketch of the month.

Sketches for me are the catalyst for creative freedom.  Sometimes I will follow the sketch to a "T" but often I will take just one element and create something that doesn't look exactly like the sketch.

This month's take is where I took one element (the sentiment band) and created something totally different. Love how it turned out! Loads of dimension that can't be seen in a photo.

This is a card AND envelope duo! I used an older line called All Halloweves by Paper Phenomenon. Both started with that sentiment band idea. Along with the paper line I also used a lot of Tim Holtz products (stamps, black card stock and paper dolls) as well as embossing gold powder.

Is is just one of 8 card/envelope sets created using this paper line and like embellishments. Check them all out on another post released soon!

Celebrating Halloween!

This is one of three makes from this one collection! WOW- I know I keep saying this but recently when I break into a beautiful line I just want to continue to create with it until it is all used up.

Today's make is one that has a bit of a twist- I took some time one evening and using an older legal size file folder I folded it, cut it up, reattached until all the pieces were used up and the end product was this fun little mini album.

All three of the up and coming posts are using the same line. It is an older line but one I LOVE by Paper Phenomenon called All Hallowseve.

Here is a short video to show you all the flips and flaps. Watch it HERE

September Stick it Down Single Page Challenge: Cutie Pies

This months sketch highlights my son and his friend Taylor. Love the layout for this as it allows the focus to be on the photo.

Used a rather old paper line for this by Prima called Lavender Frost, along with it's beautiful beads and embellishments.

Used lots of stitching to really frame it all.

Autumn Splendor Projects: Simple Stories

I love Fall. The color pallet,  the sunny yet slightly cooler temperatures and the beautiful paper that is created!

Simple Stories for the win with Autumn Splendor paper collection.

Used every last bit!

First up a single page layout featuring our family. With almost 3 years since being together my only birthday wish was to have new family photos. 👪

Next up is a very adorable mini album. It measures 31/4 x 6.5 and will hold around 35 3x4 photos! To much to photograph so I'll record a short video soon. Watch for that! VIDEO HERE

Last but not least some cards with matching envelopes. I started using the left over paper to make matching envelopes because why not have beautiful mail!! Have several already spoken for those upcoming September celebrations but there will be several left over which can be purchased at Grannys Antiques and gifts in Antigonish

August Stick it Dwon Challenge: Born Month for Moi!

You guest it! August was the month I was born. More specifically August No. 1

I love, love Stamperia paper. It's vintage flair is very much my style and taste. This was a fun sketch to use and even though I couldn't help myself in using full sheets of paper that highlights the astrological signs, I feel it used the sketch very well. Remember, sketches are for inspiration and this one definitely gave me that!

Paper and embellishments from Stamperia: Alchemy. FYI- I believe that the owl is my spirit animal :)

I added gold inking using stencils, star dies from my stash and some Distress Oxide inks
