Sunday Fun Day!

I love this new routine I find myself in which is Saturday house work and Sunday crafting!

Here are a few sets of cards I did yesterday.

Enjoy!

These ones (above) were done using water color paper; Tim Holtz Oxide Inks; Tim Holtz Stencil; Circles were actually the left over pieces cut from the below cards; stamps from Magenta; Butterfly die and jems.

These were made from Altenew stamps and inks; 49th and Market stamps; dies; embossing folder

Tribute to Jennifer McGuire

I absolutely love Jennifer McGuire as much as I love chips! And that is a lot <3

What I love the most is her true and tried techniques, multiple ways to use your stamps, inks and all of her storage ideas! The one layer cards are the best and it takes cards from looking easy and simple to magnificent and elegant.

Below are samples I made from one of her more recent blog post.

Six copies (2 of each color)

Supplies: Altenew layering stamps; Altenew Inks; White embossing Powder, 40lb vellum, Wink of Stella and enamel dots.

Thank you Cards

I spent the afternoon playing with some new stamps and inks from Altenew. I absolutely love their products!

Featured on these Thank you cards is "Bold Blossoms" and the ink colors from the Coral and Green palette. I used a die to trim the front down, WOW embossing powder for the stars, the background "thank you" as well as the sentiment inside the card (not shown) is with another stamp brand. I used BoBunny pattern paper for the background paper ont he front as it matched perfectly.

The gift that keeps on giving!

I love giving meaningful, from the heart, gifts.

So this year, as a token of appreciation, for all the wonderful Nurses and Continuing Care Assistants that work we me, I've made each of them a package of four post-it note cards.

Each 3x3 card has 10 post-it notes inside. The purpose is for the "giver" to write a little note of thanks or encouragement and the "receiver" peels off the post-it note, saves it, and then passes the note card onto another unsuspected person with a new message.

I used Altenew stamps and distress ink for stamping. I love using my Misti Tool for these wonderful layering stamps!

I will be giving out a total of 30 packages of four (so 120 cards). If we were able to use all these cards for how they are intended, together we could send out 1200 messages of encouragement to people we appreciate!! Imagine the power of  positive energy this would create in a workplace <3

Let me know your thoughts of gifts like this!
