In the air there's the feeling of Christmas

It maybe early for some but for me Christmas creating starts October 1! I make alot of Christmas cards to sell, give away and sometime I make just to make. This is the result of one of those times.

Used many finnibar products, molds, bits and pieces, sparkles and vintage. 

Make something pretty today!

Wrapping up Lucypalooza 8 event!

What a week long whirlwind of classes, inspiration, fun and soooo many special perks to being a participant at this event. Perks you will never see anywhere else!

World Card Making Day October 7, 2023- Lets celebrate together!

Been a long time posting to my blog! 

Spring and Summer I shift filling my creative needs to gardening and spend all my time digging in dirt.

With Fall comes opportunity to shift back to all that is wonderful in the papercrafting arena. Living in Eastern Canada I have a "few" months to get my craft on :)

Let's start together on October 7th to celebrate World Card Making Day!!

From 2pm to 4pm EST I will be live on Younique Scrapbook Facebook for a Christmas Card Class featuring Prima Christmas Market line. 

Goal of the class is to have all the paper cut, do as much of the work together as possible and get 11 cards (yes.. 11!) ready to go for Christmas mailing. 

Younique Scrapbook Store will have some kits available for purchase so please reach out to them if you want one. 

Here is a list of other supplies you may wish to consider to have on hand if you wish to have your cards jacked up like mine :) no worries though as you will see beautiful cards regardless.

I did add links for an easy personal shopper like experience in the event your wish to add to your arsenal of goodies to craft with!

Needed Tools

1. Paper Trimmer

2. Sentiments of your choice (I used peel and stick from my stash but here's a perfect option)

3. Liquid adhesive

4. Glue runner or score tape (1/4- 1/2 will work)

5. Dimensional adhesives (pop dots or squares- I use a variety of sizes)

Items from your own stash

**Please note these are not necessary to create beautiful cards. Only needed if you want to step them up to

the fullest**

1. Distress Oxide Ink- Frayed Burlap

2. Distress Ink- Vintage Photo

3. Blending Tool

4. Pink Fresh Metallic Pearls- Gold

5. Thin brown twine

6. Corner Rounder

7. Stencil of choice

8. Spatula

9. Heavy gesso or thicker white paint 

10. Modelling paste

11. Embossing folder (Christmas or winter themed or a generic one)

12. Sewing machine- Black thread

June 2023 Stick it Down Card Sketch Challenge

 

 There is my take on this months sketch! Love me some pink fresh and that is what card was made from products from Pink Fresh. Stamp, Stencil and Die "Simplest Gesture". Background inked using Pink Fresh layering stencils "Kaleidoscope".  popped layers up to make this card very dimensional. Added some clear gems and a sentiment stripe for the win.

Multi-Project post using one collection!

 Love everything vintage and Stamperia never disappoints! Using the collection Alchemy I was able to create 12 cards with matching envelopes, mini album and 12x12 layout.

May 2023 Stick It Down Card Sketch Challenge

Welcome to May's Stick it Down Challenge! I love it when cards come together and what's even more fun is when you spend a crafty day creating all kinds of  jelly prints and you find cool ways to use them! 

Here is this months Sketch

 

 AND here is my take on it!

As stated above the base was already made from a previous jelly print day but I did add even more layers using a flower boarder stencil and a Leaf Stencil. Colors used were TH distress oxides Rustic Wilderness and Tattered Rose. I then used pencil crayons to enhance the shading of those two colors. I cut stitched squares from black, inked green card stock and another previous jelly print of pinks. The silver letters came from left overs in my stash and the flowers were cut from Vellum and the same pink jelly printed background as the squares. I layered the vellum and pink flowers together and added silver jewels from Pink Fresh. I used a stamp from my stash to stamp out Happy Birthday to you.

April 2023 Stick It Down Card Sketch Challenge

 This months sketch allows for the creator to make a really simple and quick card or you can level it up as I did with lots of extra textures!

 Here's the sketch....

And here is my take on it.

I started with a previously jelly print piece, added even more stenciling using Time Holtz Inks (Rusty Hinge regular and Iced Spruced Oxide) added some copper paints through another stencil as well as modeling paste to the card front. (stencils used were Studio light Aviation MR.12 and Ciao Bella Assisi MSO34); Once the stenciling was dries I cut the piece on a diagonal and added black messy stitching around each piece. The old car was stamped and hand cut (a very old TH stamp); the man was stamped and hand cut (TH Inquisitive Stamp CMS432); the circle was cut and embossed using another of TH products. There is a sentiment stamped inside (not shown here) using TH Bold Saying CMS433)
