Techniques include: layering, sewing, fussy cutting, using the sketch as the base and then layering on  top of it

Debut with new Design Team "Stick it Down": Life is an Adventure!

 Hi everyone,

I am very excited about this new adventure with a new design team called Stick it down! This team of wonderful designers use a sketch to create single pages, double pages and cards each month. I'm part of the Single Page Team. It is a great place to gather inspiration as well as to join in on the fun!!

Below is my take on the sketch.

Products used was: Simple Stories Vintage Travel line and embellishments, Hickory Smoke Distress Ink and a few other embellishments from my stash. Also stitched on the paged. Can't wait to see you take!

Vicki Boutin- Wild Flower and Honey on line class

On May 31, 2020 Vicki offered an on line class for 2 double page layouts using her paperline, Wild Flower and Honey.

You all know I am a huge fan of hers. Not because she designs wonderful products or she is famous in the crafting world, but because she is as real as it gets, she is honest about her journey and she is just a wonderful human being!

On National Scrapbooking Day 2019 Me and my best scrap gals had the opportunity to participate in a live class with the one and only- Vicki Boutin . My Stamping Studio in Windsor, NS hosted the event and it was not a disappointment! Thought it fitting to scrap these photo's on the very layout class given by the same fabulous lady

The Perky Owl

The best part about weekends away without an agenda is finding the little treasures you would otherwise miss. The Perky Owl was just that...a very unique coffee house  in a little coastal town of Yarmouth, Nova Scotia

This paper line from Echo Park, called Coffee was absolutely perfect for this trip. Not only it speak to coffee but also how special Coffee and Friends blend so well together!

Christa, my most favorite coffee loving friend, this page is dedicated to you on your birthday and cheers to many more adventures together, <3

Love Me Coffee

Over the years I've grown the addiction to coffee. Never forget that first cup of Tim's, small triple triple!! Had to do that to choke it down. Now, I use creamed honey to sweeten gently and a splash of half & half. No longer "choken" it down but rather savoring the multitudes of flavors.

Looks like my daughter shares my love and appreciation for the caffeinated beverage!

Not sure about you but I find doing one double page lay-out per event is plenty. However if you have lots of great photo's the only way to capture them all is by doing more then that which can get boring....not any more!!!

The We R Memory Keepers Fuse Tool is the BEST invention ever! This tool allows you to create pockets on your page so that you can layer photo's and flip through them while the page is in the page protector, a water fall effect. There are lots of things you can do with this nifty tool!

Check out this video on this wonderful tool to see what I mean.

On these one double page lay-out I was able to scrapbook a total of 16 photo's by using the water fall technique!!

I'll be using this a lot more!
