Happy Accident!

This little note card 31/2"x 31/2" was actually a happy accident.

I started by using the Nuance products in a very concentrated form and painted in the flower using a paint brush. I didn't like the finish look so in a rather frustrating moment, I sprayed the entire surface with water. What happened next was wonderful!

The colors lifted from the surface and using a paper towel I dabbed off the excess. What remained was pleasing to my eye!

Bird House

Maybe it's wishful thinking but I'm sure I heard birds sing a few mornings ago!

Looking at the 10 feet of snow outside my door makes me think I was imagining it.

It did make me look through some older stamps from Magenta to find the perfect one to craft with for how I was feeling.

July's Challenge with Magenta

This months challenge was to choose a "favourite" Magenta stamp. Let me say that this was not an easy task! I started and stopped this project many times because I kept changing my mind :)

The stamp I chose was the saying below. It is probably the truest quote ever in my creative world. Used several spellbinder dies to outline the quote.

Summer Time Celebrations

Summer weather brings many celebrations such as graduations, weddings, birthdays, etc

This is a very simple and elegant card that can hold a personal note, a gift card or money.

I used a simple lime cardstock for the card base, 40lb Vellum for the stamping, white embossing powder, sheer ribbon and the following Magenta Stamp.

I used a spellbinder die to cut the template where my sentiment will go once I decide where it will go, as well as a template for the inside to put my personal note to the receiver.

Winter Night

Who can't help but create around the theme of winter when the entire province is slammed with many, many snow storms!

Even in everything that is ugly, there is beauty.

A friend posted this photo of a sunset a few nights ago, and I replicated it using alcohol inks, UTEE and Magenta Stamps

Summer Sunset

Another Alcohol Ink Card featuring Magenta Stamps!

Since I am craving for warm summer nights and light breezes I took my imagination to those evenings that are not that far away :)

You may not recognize many of these stamps because I do not put the stamp on a block as I like to control the part of the stamp that touches the card front. I ink only a small portion of the stamp and use that point to add grasses, limbs and wild flowers. An excellent way to get more uses out of the same stamps!
